Problem Statement

MICRO continually audits each area of its business for efficiency and identified a significant challenge: the manual, time-consuming process of verifying supplier material specifications—including thickness, tensile strength, and yield—had become increasingly inefficient as demand and document volumes grew. This manual approach required extensive time and resources. MICRO needed a scalable, accurate, and intelligent solution to maintain compliance and production velocity.

Solution

To address these challenges, MICRO collaborated with Quantiphi to implement QDox, a GenAI-powered Intelligent Document Processing (IDP) platform built on AWS. The engagement began with a focused Proof of Concept (POC), where QDox was trained to extract and validate key material specifications—such as thickness, tensile strength, and yield—from two critical document types and suppliers. This initial phase demonstrated high accuracy and compliance with MICRO’s stringent QA standards.

Building on this success, QDox was scaled to full production, expanding to support a broader variety of document types and layouts, onboarding additional global suppliers, and applying custom validation rules aligned with MICRO’s QA protocols. Leveraging an AWS-native architecture, the platform provides a scalable, secure, and low-risk path to production, designed to support MICRO’s growing operational needs.
